Study: Discussing Relationship Problems Is Pointless

Trying to get your guy to open up about whats bothering him? According to a new study, most men think discussing problems is a waste of time.

That attitude also applies to male children. The study, soon-to-be published in the journal Child Development, found that when it comes to opening up about their issues, little boys seems to feel the same way as grown men.

“For years, popular psychologists have insisted that boys and men would like to talk about their problems but are held back by fears of embarrassment or appearing weak,” said Amanda J. Rose, associate professor of psychological sciences in the University of Missouri College of Arts and Science.

“However, when we asked young people how talking about their problems, boys didn’t express angst or distress about discussing problems any more than girls,” Rose noted. “Instead, boys’ responses suggest that they just don’t see talking about problems ot be particularly useful activity.”

Now stop bitching and leave me alone.

Study: Watching Spongebob Is Harmful

A new study shows that watching just nine minutes of SpongeBob SquarePants can mess with children’s brains.

The “high-pace” of the show teaches kids little self-control and makes them want to eat more snacks, unlike “slower-speed” shows like Cailou.

Study author Angeline Lillard said, “I wouldn’t advise watching such shows on the way to school or any time they’re expecting to pay attention and learn. Even just nine-minutes of watching can change a child’s attitude and desires.”

The cartoon’s main character, Spongebob has won The Most Annoying Character Award.

9% of Americans Use Illegal Drugs

Marijuana use has increased by 3 million people since 2007, making it the most popular drug of choice last year, with 17 million users.

Gil Kerlikowske, the U.S. director of national drug control policy, believes this may be due to the growth of medical marijuana, “emerging research reveals potential links between state laws permitting access to smoked medical marijuana and higher rates of marijuana use. I urge every family - but particularly those in states targeted by pro-drug political campaigns - to redoubel their efforts to shield young people from seirous harm by educating them about the real health and safety consequences caused by illegal drug use.”

Marijuana is the only drug that has had a significant increase. Cocaine use has dropped nearly one million from 2006 to only 1.5 million, while methamphetamine use  dropped by more than half to only a 10th of 1% of the population.

The most disturbing news is how easy it is for kids to get drugs. Half of the children between the ages of 12 and 17-years-old surveyed said it would be “very easy” or “fairly easy” to get their hands on pot, while 1 in 5 said it would be easy to get cocaine, and 1 in 10 said it would be easy to get heroin!

Yeah, it’s probably a good idea to educate your kids about the effects of drugs at a young age, because their friends won’t wait until high school to start getting curious.

Lingerie For Kids
Should children be allowed to wear lingerie? The French company Jours Apres Lunes calls it “loungerie” because it’s for lounging around instead of, uh, looking sexy prior to fucking. If you’re a pedophile, feel free to click that link to check out the babes babies.

Sesame Street Refuses To Go Gay

Regardless of the results of any unofficial polls or petitions, according to an official statement made by Sesame Workshop, Bert and Ernie aren’t getting married:

Bert and Ernie are best friends. They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves.

Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics (as most Sesame Street Muppets do), they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation.

Good for them. Too many people think they run companies and make decisions for them, when in reality, they don’t even work for that company. A company can run themselves with only suggestions from consumers. They don’t need to be told what to do.

A petition about this is ridiculous. I personally, think it’s weird. Any kind of love shit in kids shows is strange and sometimes inappropriate. But then, I grew up with barely any tv, movies, or music.
