Apple: iFake

So you’ve probably assumed it. Apple doesn’t trust many people making their interview process as tough as you expect, given that it is one of the largest tech companies with a fierce focus on secrecy.

Now Adam Lashinsky, author of Inside Apple as revealed in a LinkedIn interview that people are “hired into dummy positions where they are not really sure what it is they’re doing”, in a bid to determine their trustworthiness.

It’s pretty sneakily effective way to keep tabs on loose-lipped tech nerds without letting any big secrets go to have them work on bogus iDevices. However, it didn’t stop the iPhone 4 concealed in a replica 3GS case from being left in a bar by software engineer Gary Powell back in April of 2010. That’s when tech site Gizmodo got it’s hands on the phone and revealed all the details. However, Apple didn’t learn from their mistake. Last year an Apple employee left an iPhone 4S in a Los Angeles bar, which was later sold on Craigslist for only $200. However, Apple caught on and traced the device to an LA house which lead to nothing. The resident denied knowledge of it and Apple was so concerned they offered a no-questions-asked money offer.

Jesee Tyler Ferguson Talks Lily
Modern Family’s Jesee Tyler Ferguson talks about the replacement of Lily. The twins who previously played her were too young for lines. Lily was always left out as a secondary character while the majority of the cast are main characters. The decision to switch them out is because they wanted Lily to have more screen time.

Toy Story 4 Confirmed

Tom Hanks, who voices Woody, recently dished that Disney Pixar is working on Toy Story 4. In an interview, he said, “I think there will be, yeah. Yeah, yeah, think they’re working on it now.” Director John Lasseter has confirmed the statement in a Cars 2 interview. Now, he didn’t come straight out and admit it, but he did confirm it through the nature of his language.

When questioned about the statement,  he awkwardly responded, “yeah, I found that very interesting too. Yeah, it was really interesting…[laughs] he’s, ah, yeah, we haven’t announced anything, so I can’t really talk.” After an awkward silence, he enthusiastically said “Cars 2 is such a good movie!”

Although the movie allegedly isn’t set in stone, Actor Tim Allen who voices Buzz Lightyear has had a contract signed for more than a year now. Back then, when the buzz (get it, Buzz?) was about Toy Story 3, the director said, “We know that people love the characters, love Woody and Buzz, and would hate to say goodbye to them completely. We don’t have any plans for [a fourth movie], but we are trying to find ways to keep the characters alive.”

Eric Church To Kick Everyone’s Ass

Kenneth Eric Church (Eric Church) recently sat down with Billboard.com to talk about his upcoming album “Chief” and had some words of warning to fellow country music artists

Eric says, “I’m seen as the bad boy, a lone wolf. I do my own thing and that’s okay. I’m not doing it to make friends. I just want to make great music and honestly kick everybody else’s ass in the industry. That’s my goal.”

And if you’re expecting the same old Eric on his next album, you’ll be surprised: “we’ve had enough success now that I can push the envelope. I held back a little bit sometimes because I was afraid people would think I’d lost my mind. Then ‘Smoke A Little Smoke’ was a hit….I saw it work when everybody told me it wouldn’t. I decided that whatever little bit of rope they gave me on that song, I just tied it to the back of the truck and took off down the road.”

You can read the whole interview here while waiting for Chief to hit stores July 26th.
