The fourth edition to the Paranormal Activity movies will hit theaters October 19th against Halloween 3D, which is scheduled to open October 26th. In both 2009 and 2010, Paranormal competed against the Saw series.

The Paranormal franchise has been hugely successful, with the last movie bringing in more than $200 million, beating out the grosses of the first and second film combined! In addition, Paranormal 3 become the top horror launch in history. However, the projects are made on very small budgets; Paranormal cost $15,000, Paranormal 2 cost $3 million, and Paranormal 3 cost only $5 million to produce.

Not much is known about the fourth installment — no writer or director has even been set.  So whatcha think?

Content from the new and final “Saw” movie (seven: VII), which hits 3-D theaters October 29, 2010 is starting to hit the web.

The latest rumor is that the film had been submitted six times to the MPAA before they could get rid of the NC-17 rating and get themselves an R. However, producer Mark Burg commented:

I’m surprised we got it. It’s more violent than any of them. But it’s in 3-D, it answers all the questions, it comes full circle. We have the goods on this one.

About the final movie, Oren Koules, a producer, said, “It’s time to stop.”

The release definitely has some competition with Paranormal Activity 2. Are you interested, or will you pass up on this one?

The low-budget box office smash Paranormal Acitivty has a follow up coming out just in time for Halloween. If you’re an idiot, that means sometime in October.

Watch the following trailer for PA2, which has apparently been pulled after complaints that it was “too scary.”
