Ty Burrell Adopts Child

Modern Family’s Ty Burrell and his wife Holly have adopted a second daughter! The 44-year-old actor shared the happy news with People, but kept the details private. 

Ty previously spoke about how having their first daughter, Frances, affects his life: “There’s lots of problem solving in any marriage, but when you have this collective goal that is a human being, it’s an inspiring rally point.”

Modern Family’s executive producer Steven Levitan spoke with Ad Age about product placement in the hit show: “we get offers constantly. We do very few. We try to be extremely selective.” He describes “very few” as about 10%. It seems as if they only accept ones which are willing to pay the big bucks: Target, Audi, and Toyota. No money was actually exchanged for Apple’s iPad placement.

However, when the show does accept placements, they flood an entire episode with the product. Rob Donnell, president-founder of Brand Arc, a brand consultant that helped place Toyota vehicles in the show says “you’ve got producers that are willing to do it and know how to make it part of a script. It’s not just one scene, it’s actually played out throughout the entire episode.”

Jesee Tyler Ferguson Talks Lily
Modern Family’s Jesee Tyler Ferguson talks about the replacement of Lily. The twins who previously played her were too young for lines. Lily was always left out as a secondary character while the majority of the cast are main characters. The decision to switch them out is because they wanted Lily to have more screen time.
